1. What kind of perfumes do you make?

We create oil-based perfumes inspired by real cities, moods, and memories. Our fragrances are intimate, long-lasting, and designed to feel personal.

2. What does “oil-based” perfume mean?

Oil-based perfumes use a natural oil base instead of alcohol.
This means:

  • Smoother on skin

  • Longer staying power

  • Softer projection

While alcohol projects fast and evaporates quickly, oil based perfumes stay for very long and gently evolve with your body chemistry.

3. How long do your perfumes last?

On average, 6–10 hours, depending on:

  • Your skin type

  • Weather

  • Where you apply

Because they’re oil-based, they fade slowly and evenly.

In pulse points, behind the ears and on the clothes they can last much, much longer.

4. Are they safe for sensitive skin?

Our formulas are gentle, but skin is personal.
If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test before full use.

If you have any itching or redness, discontinue use.

 

5. How should I apply perfume oil?

Apply gently to pulse points on a moisturised skin:

  • Wrists

  • Neck

  • Behind ears

  • Inner elbows

A little goes a long way—dab, don’t rub.

Rubbing your wrists together can break the delicate top notes. It will not harm the perfume but the top notes would break faster and the heart and base notes would be perceived more. We recommend gentle application with the roll-on ball and no rubbing.

 

6. Are your perfumes for men or women?

Our fragrances are gender-free.
Wear what feels like you. Mood > labels.

However, we have included the "conventional gender allocation" to make it easier.

7. Do you ship across India?

Yes, we ship across India.
Delivery timelines are shared during checkout and may vary by location.

8. Do you accept returns or exchanges?

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened perfumes cannot be returned.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us—we’ll make it right.

9. Can I gift your perfumes?

Absolutely. Our perfumes are often gifted for birthdays, anniversaries, and “thinking of you” moments.

This is our endeavour to bring back old-school slow-mail nostalgia because we all need a little magic in our lives. If you wish to send us a message for a postcard (message/poetry/thought/random scribbling, anything really) contact us at postcardpourvous@gmail.com and we will turn your message into a postcard for someone who picks up one of our perfumes. Messages are anonymous (both the sender and the recipient, are not mentioned anywhere).
